During the first presidential debate in Cleveland Tuesday night, former Vice President Joe Biden claimed the leftist anarchist organization antifa is just “an idea.”

“Antifa is an idea not an organization,” Biden said.

But a new ad put out by the Republican Attorneys General Association destroys that narrative and asks whether ideas are responsible for burning down buildings or destroying cities across the country.

“If Antifa is only an idea then who is burning down our cities, assaulting our law enforcement officers, and causing the violence we’ve seen over the last four months?” RAGA Executive Director Adam Piper released in a statement. “Biden’s remarks don’t come as a surprise to anybody who has paid attention to the Democrats’ recent rhetoric. As lives and livelihoods are being destroyed by lawless liberal mobs across the country, Democrat attorneys general are either encouraging the violence or downplaying its existence. Voters this November must hold Democrats up and down the ballot accountable for their recklessness and incitement of this violence.”

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany made a similar argument during a briefing Thursday afternoon.

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Speaking at the Phoenix Drug Enforcement Agency Division Thursday, Attorney General Bill Barr and Acting DEA Administrator Timothy Shea announced the results of Operation Crystal Shield.

“Methamphetamine is a brutal drug linked to violent crime and responsible for far too many fatal overdoses,” Attorney General Barr said. “The astounding results of Operation Crystal Shield clearly demonstrate the commitment by the DEA and our state and local partners to prevent this deadly drug from reaching the streets of our communities. Prosecuting individuals who traffic these poisons remains a top priority for President Trump and the entire Department of Justice.”

Operation Crystal Shield was launched in February 2020 as a response to Mexican cartels producing methamphetamine on an industrial scale before trafficking the deadly drug to the United States in bulk. The operation targeted nine major city hubs used by cartels to distribute the drug to towns across the country: Atlanta, San Diego, El Paso, Dallas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, St. Louis and Phoenix. Between 2018 and 2019, overdoses from methamphetamine increased by 28 percent.

“Every pound of methamphetamine seized represents American lives saved,” Acting DEA Administrator Timothy Shea said.

According to officials, in the first six months of the operation, more than 750 investigations have been launched, 28,560 pounds of methamphetamine have been seized and $43 million in drug proceeds have been confiscated. Further, hundreds of illegal firearms have been seized from individuals working for cartels inside the United States.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama served as the keynote speaker for the DNC Convention Monday night, successfully fulfilling the role of making false accusations and statements about President Trump’s record.

On illegal immigration, Mrs. Obama lamented “putting kids in cages” as she claimed President Trump has no empathy.

But the facts and her husband’s history as president tell a different story. It was the Obama administration that first instituted the policy of separating children from adults at the border. President Obama was the first to “put kids in cages.”

Her statement on the issue was so misleading, it landed her a fact-check from the Associated Press.

What she did not say is that the very same “cages” were built and used in her husband’s administration, for the same purpose of holding migrant kids temporarily.

A look at her remark in the keynote address at the opening night of the remote Democratic National Convention:

MICHELLE OBAMA, on Americans: “They watch in horror as children are torn from their families and thrown into cages.”

THE FACTS: The reference to cages is misleading and a matter that Democrats have persistently distorted.

Trump used facilities that were built during the Obama-Biden administration to house children at the border. They are chain-link enclosures inside border facilities where migrants were temporarily housed, separated by sex and age.

At the height of the controversy over Trump’s zero-tolerance policy at the border, photos that circulated online of children in the enclosures generated great anger. But those photos — by The Associated Press — were taken in 2014 and depicted some of the thousands of unaccompanied children held by President Barack Obama.

When that fact came to light, some Democrats and activists who had tweeted the photos deleted their tweets. But prominent Democrats have continued to cite cages for children as a distinctive cruelty of Trump.

In fact, Townhall reported on the Obama administration’s actions in 2014.

“It’s just chain-link cells so we have aliens sleeping all over the floor and they told us to probably expect another thousand over the next week, week and a half,” another Border Patrol agent told Townhall at the time. “We have these huge chain-link cages, 20-feet tall with razor wire around them, this is inside a warehouse. They are probably 50 by 100 [feet] and there’s probably 10 or 11 of these big cages like that and so there’s probably 100-200 aliens in each cell or cage and there’s just park benches right down the middle, two rows of park benches and then they give them these little rubber mats, a little foam pad to lay on. We don’t have enough blankets so they’re issuing out those foil blankets, it’s like a piece of tin foil and that’s all they get. There are so many people crammed. The smell is just horrendous, horrendous.”

Others also took notice of Mrs. Obama’s misleading statement.

Speaking from the White House Tuesday evening, President Trump announced Kodak, formerly a camera and film company, will adapt into a pharmaceutical production company. The move comes as the United States government works to bring sensitive and crucial medical supply chains back from China.

“I’m proud to announce one of the most important deals in the history of U.S. pharmaceutical industries. My administration has reached a historic agreement with a great American company,” Trump said. “The coronavirus shows the importance of bringing manufacturing back to America so that we are producing, at home, the medicines and equipment and everything else that we need to protect the public’s health.”

Kodak landed a $765 million government contract to make the change and will focus on generic drugs in order to keep costs for consumers low.

President Trump also announced incentives for companies through the Defense Production Act to make personal protective equipment in the U.S. as the fight against Wuhan coronavirus continues.

During an exclusive interview with Townhall from the White House Tuesday morning, President Trump warned his administration will take action if Democratic mayors and governors can’t get crime under control.

“They are cities run by liberal Democrats,” Trump said. “We’re now looking at having to do something. You know, we have to be asked to go into a city like Chicago, which is so ridiculous where they had like, 68 shootings and 18 deaths over the weekend. It’s not even comprehensible. Worse than Afghanistan, worse than any war zone.”

“We’re supposed to be asked. She is supposed to call, the mayor, Lightfoot, Lori, she’s supposed to call and say ‘we need your help.’ We call her, ‘would you like to have us come in,’ and they don’t want us and I say, ‘what’s going on?'” he continued.

During the interview, President Trump said police in cities like Chicago and New York City aren’t allowed to do their jobs and are terrified of legal action.

“We are going to have to do something very comprehensive,” he said. “It means sending people in. It means sending people in to clean it up… there’s a point at which we’re allowed to go in and that point is rapidly being reached… there’s a point at which we will have to do it because we just have to do it for the good of the country.”

When asked about what threshold must be met before federal action is taken, the president said “carnage and death” is his standard.

Over the past three weeks, New York City has seen a 358 percent increase in shootings over last year. The city council recently voted to remove $1 billion from the NYPD budget and eliminated the undercover crime unit.

“People better be very careful because you are going to have a backlash that is going to be incredible. People better be very careful what they wish for because the American people are not going to take it very much longer,” he said.

It’s clear Joe Biden’s far left advisers are starting to change his stance on policing in America.

During an interview Wednesday with leftist publication This Now, Biden said the police are over militarized, have “become the enemy” and said funding should “absolutely” be reallocated elsewhere. In other words, he’s advocating for the defunding of law enforcement as crime across the country continues to skyrocket.

It was just three weeks ago when Biden claimed he did not support defunding the police. In fact, he proposed an increase in funding for policing programs.

“Don’t defund police, support reforms,” Biden wrote in an op-ed for USA Today. “I’ve long been a firm believer in the power of community policing — getting cops out of their cruisers and building relationships with the people and the communities they are there to serve and protect. That’s why I’m proposing an additional $300 million to reinvigorate community policing in our country. Every single police department should have the money it needs to institute real reforms like adopting a national use of force standard, buying body cameras and recruiting more diverse police officers.”

Top Biden advisor and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has called for complete defunding of police departments across the country. Significant cuts aren’t enough.

So who’s really in charge?

President Trump is publicly pushing back on allegations the United States paid $2 million to the North Korean regime to get American Otto Warmbier, who was tortured into a coma after being arrested for allegedly stealing a propaganda poster in 2016, back to his family.

From reports yesterday:

The U.S. received a $2 million hospital bill from the North Korean government for the care of American Otto Warmbier, who fell into a coma for unknown reasons while he was imprisoned in the country before he died in the U.S. in 2017, Fox News has confirmed.

Pyongyang authorities insisted the U.S. envoy sent to retrieve the University of Virginia student sign a pledge to pay the bill before allowing Warmbier’s comatose body to return to the United States, the Washington Post reported Thursday. Sources familiar with the matter confirmed the bill and the amount to Fox News.

Citing two people familiar with the situation, the Post reported the envoy signed an agreement to pay the medical bill on instructions from President Trump. However, a source told Fox News the U.S. did not pay money to North Korea.

Warmbier was returned to the U.S. in 2017. He was in a coma upon arrival and died just days later. His family has advocated for North Korea to be classified by the U.S. government as a terrorist state.
