The vulnerability of the border for terrorists has been a significant national security concern for years. Various terrorists have exploited the ongoing crisis at the border in order to enter the United States and begin planning chaos on American soil. This exploitation is particularly effective for terrorists when the border is in a state of crisis, which is now.
The migrant camps are overwhelmed in terms of capacity, COVId is spreading rampantly, and the Democrats have largely ignored these outcomes. Much of the motivation for ignoring the crisis is political in nature; however, such motivation has also led to terrorists having greater ease to access the United States.
Recently, news broke that four individuals on the United States’ terror watch list were arrested at the border, including three individuals from Yemen and one individual from Serbia.
As noted by Axios, the United States Customs and Border Protection agency revealed to Congress that four of the individuals arrested at the border since October 1 have names that match the FBI’s Screening Database. This watchlist is long and extensive, and it consists of people who are “known to be or reasonably suspected to be involved in terrorist activities.”
In addition, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has also stopped more than 3,700 individuals on the watchlist from entering the nation in fiscal 2017, which ended on September 30, 2017.

Various journalists have visited the border and observed the crisis firsthand, which is taking place on both sides of the border. All the detention centers are swelled to capacity, and arrests of illegal immigrants have surpassed 100,000 in February.
The border situation has rapidly devolved into a humanitarian crisis of Biden’s own making, as well as a serious national security concern issue. Most concerning of all, it is likely that at least a few terrorists may have already slipped through, with others likely to follow under the current administration.
