Governor Tate Reeves of Mississippi, along with Governor Greg Abbott of Texas and Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, share numerous characteristics in common, from supporting Trump to supporting freedom (really, one and the same under Trump’s real leadership).

As a result of supporting freedom, not to mention strongly advocating for individual states’ rights, these governors, as well as several other likeminded governors, have not become enormous fans of Biden’s nonstop executive orders, to put it mildly, as every single one of the inane orders seems to bizarrely advocate an “America Last” approach.

Well, fortunately for the residents of conservative states, governors remain unimpressed by “America Last” and have boldly stood up to Biden in several different ways, from challenging immigration policies in Texas to travel policies in Florida.

Now, Governor Reeves of Mississippi has taken serious aim at Biden’s nonsensical transgender sports executive orders (for teenagers who aren’t even attending school), an executive order that was so critically important that it had to apparently be passed on Day 1.

Which Reeves remained amazed by.

“Now, I never would have envisioned on Inauguration Day 2020 that we would be here this morning. In fact, I never envisioned on Inauguration Day 2021 that we would be here this morning. But for the fact that President Biden, as one of his first initiatives, sat down and signed an executive order which in my view encourages transgenderism amongst our young people.” [Source: Fox News]

Sadly, Biden did make that bill one of his first initiatives, which is precisely why Reeves has taken fierce action against such an absurd executive order, namely by protecting families of Mississippi from seriously frightening leftist demands.

With SB 2536, a bill that Reeves signed into law this past Thursday, will ensure that biological females are protected during sports, in that they will not be forced to compete against biological males.

“But for the fact that President Biden as one of his first initiatives sat down and signed an executive order — which, in my opinion, encourages transgenderism amongst our young people — but for that fact, we wouldn’t be here today … [this bill will] protect young girls from being forced to compete with biological males for athletic opportunities.” [Source: The Washington Examiner]

Absolutely correct, Reeves. Thank you for looking out for American families, not to mention a semblance of American order.

Needless to say, more than one American is not very happy about the prospect of their biological female daughters being tackled to the ground by biological males, which is precisely why fierce resistance has built up against Biden’s overly “inclusive” regime.

Plus, Biden’s transgender policy would ironically weaken females, rather than strengthen them, as noted by Christiana Holcomb, an attorney for Alliance Defending Freedom.

“When we ignore science and biological reality, female athletes lose medals, podium spots, public recognition, and opportunities to compete.”

Which is precisely what Reeves aimed for in his bill, and he was unafraid to make his feelings known (he was also, very fortunately, unafraid to use the horribly “offensive” gendered terminology these days.

“This important piece of legislation will ensure that young girls in Mississippi have a fair, level playing field in public school sports … It sends a clear message to my daughters and all of Mississippi’s daughters that their rights are worth fighting for.” [Source: Fox News]

The woke mob will likely be after Reeves next for daring to say “daughters.”

In fact, the mob is already after Reeves to a degree, when considering the commentary from Alphonso David, the President of the Human Rights Campaign.

“This law is a solution in search of a problem, and legislators in Mississippi have not provided any examples of Mississippi transgender athletes gaming the system for a competitive advantage because none exist.” [Source: Fox News]

Really, Mr. David? Has it ever occurred to you that no historical examples of “competitive advantage” can be found because the lunacy of transgender sports was never seriously implemented until now, at least on a federal level?

Not exactly the most compelling observation in the world offered by the left … but then again, what is?
