Remember Joe Biden’s January 25 Executive Order on transgender reassignment surgery in the military? Well, it looks like that is yet another executive order coming to fruition, particularly given this week’s developments.
First, a brief recollection of some of the first nonsense Biden “passed” through executive orders very shortly after taking office. As mentioned more than once, these executive orders primarily centered on amnesty for illegals, job killing for Americans, and endless rights for transgender individuals.
Of course, via White House spin, all of these executive orders are necessary to be “inclusive,” and such inclusivity should also extend to paying for transgender military service members’ gender reassignment surgery.
“America is stronger, at home and around the world, when it is inclusive. The military is no exception … This means no one will be separated or discharged, or denied reenlistment, solely on the basis of gender identity …
Prospective recruits may serve in their self-identified gender when they have met the appropriate standards for accession into the military services.”
Right. Because enemy forces will feel so intimated by the lovey-dovey depiction of the U.S. military to the world. On the contrary, all of them are likely licking their chops now. Who wouldn’t, with such absurd “aims” for the military?
After all, the military serves one major purpose and one major purpose only: Defending the nation against foreign enemies in the best way possible. And that “best way” does not include sunshine, rainbows, and other nonsense of Democrat dreams.
Sadly, however, the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin has agreed with the stance of the White House, sending a rather frightening message around the world (frightening for Americans who actually care about national security).
“The United States armed forces are in the business of defending our fellow citizens from our enemies, foreign and domestic … I believe we accomplish that mission more effectively when we represent all our fellow citizens. I also believe we should avail ourselves of the best possible talent in our population, regardless of gender identity. We would be rendering ourselves less fit to the task if we excluded from our ranks people who meet our standards and who have the skills and the devotion to serve in uniform.” [Source: Department of Defense]
Actually, Mr. Austin, that objective would be “accomplished more effectively” if the best individuals filled the best positions in order to defend the nation, regardless of any other identifying characteristics, from race to gender to every other category the Democrats invent to divide.
By that train of thought, seems like the NFL and NBA would need to be more “inclusive” a well, but it does not appear that much of America is in an uproar over the relatively limited diversity in the professional sports leagues.
In a memo viewed by The Washington Examiner, Austin also directly informed others about his Biden-induced plans for gender reassignment surgery in the military.
“This revised policy will also ensure all medically necessary transition-related care authorized by law is available to all Service members.” [Source: Newsmax]
Well, that’s wonderful. Another marvelous use of taxpayer funds … during a pandemic.
Rep. Jim Banks (R) of Indiana, who is also an Iraq War veteran, also commented on Biden’s increasingly draconian actions, especially when effectively legislating through endless executive orders.
“This is radical and new territory for a presidential administration to force taxpayers to fund sexual reassignment surgeries for those in the military. I’m compassionate toward those individuals who want to undergo an elective surgery of this nature, but taxpayers shouldn’t be on the hook to pay for it. It’s constitutionally dubious that Congress hasn’t passed these measures, but the administration, in a radical way, is pushing through this agenda. I sit on the committee that should debate these issues.” [Source: Newsmax]
It is an issue that frankly shouldn’t be debated at all, but if Biden must insist upon being as divisive as possible, he should at least feign some unity in public.
Oh, that’s right, he virtually never appears in public …
