Despite news reports of growing herd immunity, not to mention dramatically reduced infection rates, Dr. Fauci apparently cannot resist chronically raining on Americans’ parades.
Just consider his recent statements on a hilariously titled “State of the Union” appearance on CNN, where Fauci just could not resist dampening otherwise good news with negativity.
“As we get into the fall and the winter, by the end of the year, I agree with [President Biden] completely, that we will be approaching a degree of normality … It may or may not be precisely the way it was in November of 2019 but it’ll be much much better than we’re doing right now.” [Source: Fox News]
A “degree” of normality. How not comforting. To which “degree” is Dr. Fauci anticipating normalcy? Whatever degree China dictates?
Fauci was also sure to define “normality” as pre-pandemic conditions (you know, freedom conditions), and of course, he suddenly “can’t predict” whether or not full normality will return to the United States by the end of 2021.
He also claims that there may be “a significant degree” of normality, yet he offers about as much detail as Psaki, which means no detail at all.
“It’s important because if normality means exactly the way things were before we had this happen to us, I mean, I can’t predict. I mean, obviously, I think we’ll have a significant degree of normality beyond what the terrible burden that all of us have been through over the last year as we get into the fall.” [Source: Breitbart]
You mean, the “terrible burden” for American workers. Not so much politicians and tech billionaires gallivanting throughout Hawaii and wherever else they please, all while lecturing Americans to imprison themselves in their own homes.
That’s one way to “defund” the justice system. Just have everyone engage in voluntary self-imprisonment.
Fauci made perhaps the most discouraging statement of all when he claimed that everything could change in just a few months, which is probably the most honest statement he made during the entire “State of the Union” discussion on CNN.
“That’s the reason why we’ve got to be careful … Because you have variance that you need to deal with. There are so many other things that would make a projection that I give you today on this Sunday, wind up not being the case six months from now.” [Source: Fox News]
In other words, just like Americans and many others were told that lockdown measures were temporary in 2020, here we are in 2021, with no hope of “normality” (or even a “degree” of normality) until the year’s end, and even that may vanish.
Hence the apparent need for mask wearing in 2022, which Fauci eventually addressed.
“If you combine getting most of the people in the country vaccinated with getting the level of virus in the community very, very low, then I believe you are going to be able to say you know for the most part we don’t necessarily have to wear masks …
When it goes way down, and the overwhelming majority of the people in the population are vaccinated, then I would feel comfortable in saying you know we need to pull back on the masks, we don’t need to have masks.” [Source: Fox News]
Masks into 2022. Great. Way to view the future, but, potentially way for GOP to sweep the House in 2022, along with sweeping all the other leftist nonsense out of public discourse, or at least out of legislation that impacts the public.
Plus, if one really thinks about it … a question does come to mind.
Eh, Fauci? Do Americans really “need to have masks” now, if Biden is supposedly vaccinating every single American that “wants” a vaccine by July? If that is the case, then how will the United States not return to “a degree” of normality until the year’s end?
Furthermore, if the majority of Americans are vaccinated in 2021, then why in the world would masks still be needed at all?
Not exactly a ringing endorsement for the vaccine … or, more accurately, the reality of Biden’s ability to disseminate the vaccine.
Someone please bring about “normality” sooner than Fauci’s predictions. As one can’t be judged for realizing that such “normality” will not ensue for quite some time, if ever, under Democrat “leadership” …
