While RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) may kick and scream and avoid that label with all their might, it simply will not change the fact that a fair number of Republicans may as well just switch over to the Democrat side already.
Mitt Romney is among one of the most prominent examples that comes to mind, given his perpetually virulent attitude towards Trump. In addition, other largely spineless Republicans, including Mitch McConnell, who is apparently “undecided” about his vote have also come to mind.
However, rather than merely switching over to the Democrat side, Republicans have apparently considered forming another GOP Party … away from the faction of the GOP that supports Trump. That is correct: Republicans are actually contemplating ways in which they can further weaken themselves to the Democrats’ leftist agenda.
Officially, several dozen GOP officials are contemplating whether or not to develop “a center right breakaway party,” presumably because former GOP officials believe that the current Republican party is “unwilling to stand up to former President Donald Trump and his attempts to undermine U.S. Democracy.”
According to Reuters, several of these “officials” have already convened and contemplated ways in which to make the GOP even weaker, especially relative to the leftist mass of Democrats, that vast majority of which who do not seem to have any issue with Biden’s job killing, illegal immigrant promoting agenda.
“The early stage discussions include former elected Republicans, former officials in the Republican administrations of Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Trump, ex-Republican ambassadors and Republican strategists …
More than 120 of them held a Zoom call last Friday to discuss the breakaway group, which would run on a platform of ‘principled conservatism,’ including adherence to the Constitution and the rule of law — ideas those involved say have been trashed by Trump … The plan would be to run candidates in some races, but also to endorse center-right candidates in others, be they Republicans, Independents, or Democrats.” [Source: The Blaze]
“Center-right” Democrats? Would that be the same as calling Biden and Kamala “moderate?” Frighteningly vague definition, which begs more detail. Then again, politicians aren’t exactly known for keeping their promises, unlike Trump.
Frankly, Trump is more greatly missed than ever, especially with the Biden administration apparently out to punish just about every single state that dared to go red. First, Biden punished a number of different conservative states through cancelling a permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, demonstrating exactly zero empathy for countless individuals’ financial futures becoming ruined.
Now, Biden has taken aim at Florida, which not only was firmly in favor of Trump, but also now the home of Trump. And, Mr. Biden, for not terribly mysterious reasons, has now elected to take aim at Florida over … COVID.
Apparently COVID is the gift that just keeps on giving for Democrats. And, for that matter, China. Hm…
Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida and a close ally of Trump, quickly fired back at Biden’s suggested travel restrictions, including a rather blatant discussion of the left’s hypocrisy.
“I think it’s an absurd report that they would be doing that, I think it would be unconstitutional, it would be unwise and it would be unjust … Any attempt to restrict or lock down Florida by the federal government would be an attack on our state done purely for political purposes …
If you think about it, restricting the right of Americans to travel freely throughout our country while allowing illegal aliens to pour across the southern border unmolested would be a ridiculous but very damaging farce … So we will oppose it 100%. It would not be based in science, it would purely be a political attack against the people of Florida.” [Source: The Blaze]
Exactly. Since Biden couldn’t punish Florida through the Keystone XL pipeline, he is now threatening to punish the state in terms of travel restrictions.
What an incredible show of “unity” the nation has witnessed so far.
Now, with a bunch of spineless Republicans being so frightened by the influence of Trump, the situation has gotten even worse. After all, rather than take on Democrats head to head, these spineless RINOs would rather split up the GOP entirely, further handing endless wins to Democrats in the future (as if the “revised” mail in procedures weren’t bad enough).
One can only hope that if such a party is formed, it will rapidly sink into oblivion, while the Trump-backed party will accelerate full steam ahead … Without tedious RINOs holding it back.
