You know Biden’s gaffes are bad when even fake news checks him. You know that these gaffes are even worse when they reveal Biden’s frighteningly inadequate knowledge of the Constitution.
Since Amy Cony Barrett’s hearings are commencing today, on schedule (i.e., the conservative way), and since the Democrats couldn’t use something as preposterous as the 25th Amendment or any other fictitious excuse to block this nomination process, they’ve decided to go full steam ahead with their usual “methods.”
Lie, get the fake news to cover (i.e., nonstop promote) it. Maybe the lie will get fact-checked, maybe it won’t. The key is to get it out there and into the heads of mindless liberals, who will proceed in rioting rampantly, thereby missing any fact checks entirely.
This time, Biden didn’t get away with it, in spite of his extraordinarily softball (for toddlers) treatment by the media in general. Or, more accurately, his campaign “spokesperson” (how many are there?!) Kate Bedingfield didn’t get it.
“How is it not constitutional what they’re doing?” Tapper asked.
“His point is that the people have an opportunity to weigh in on this constitutional process through their vote,” Bedingfield claimed. “And we are now in the midst of the election. Millions of people have already cast their votes. And you see that the vast majority of people say that they want the person who wins the election on November 3 to nominate the justice to take this seat.”
“That’s a poll,” Tapper mocked. “That’s not the Constitution.”

After Bedingfield lamely attempted to bleat her way through a yet another non-starter Democrat “argument” (one that doesn’t involve smashing glass and setting fires), Tapper succinctly thanked her for “deftly sidestepping” questions before dismissing her.
As outrageous as he can be on other occasions, gotta give Tapper credit where credit is due. And credit is due, big-time, with this quip.
To be extremely fair to the Democrats, given their concern with fairness and all, it should also be noted that Biden himself made this absurd statement (i.e., lack of constitutionality regarding the filling of the Supreme Court vacancy) the day before Bedingfield did on CNN. In other words, no way to claim that Bedingfield represented a “misrepresentation” of the puerile (and nefarious) intent of the Democrats.
Rather than answer whether or not he’ll pack the Supreme Court, Biden hilariously tried to insist that the Republicans were packing the courts instead.
“The only court packing going on right now is going on with Republicans… It’s not constitutional what they’re doing.” [Source: Fox News]
This comment drew the response of a law professor from George Washington University, which is quite the achievement (i.e., quite the illumination of how egregious Biden’s comment was).
“To say that filing a vacancy on the Supreme Court is ‘court packing’ is like saying that a ‘Hail Mary’ pass at the end of a football game is ‘intentional grounding,’” said George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley. “The Constitution expressly allows for such for a nomination and confirmation.” [Source: Fox News]
George Washington University is also known as the university that allows professors who “self-identify” as Black to receive minority status (and minority-directed) funding for their “research.” So, when a GWU prof fact checks Biden, you know he’s made a serious, as Tapper puts it, “sidestep.”
Biden knows the Constitution about as well as Nancy Pelosi does. Chuck Schumer wouldn’t know the Constitution if it smacked him in the face. And well, Kamala Harris, alongside the equally vocal “squad,” wants to destroy the Constitution.
And the Democrats (and liberals who support him) want him (i.e., Harris) appointing the next SCOTUS nominee?!
Fortunately, since the fake news media, unlike characters within the Democrat Party, actually can face a lawsuit every now and then (Nick Sandmann and Alan Dershowitz immediately come to mind), fairly egregious (deliberate) violations of facts can lead to real fact checks every now and then.
Too bad (for the Democrats) that the fact check didn’t happen with Ilhan Omar, a very loud, albeit largely inconsequential member of the Democrat Party; it occurred with Biden. Not a good luck, considering Biden apparently couldn’t handle an in-person debate with Trump again.
Conveniently right after Mike Pence resoundingly crushed Harris. And conveniently right before the SCOTUS hearings began to commence. Not to mention in the aftermath of Trump’s roaring recovery.
Anyway, the Democrats are welcome to continue digging themselves into a deeper hole, while the Republicans will continue forward with steering the nation further from chaos with the very constitutionally sound hearing process this week.
Thank you, Mr. President!
