The plot thickens.
While Trump is busy trying to salvage as much relief as possible for Americans who desperately need it, Hidin’ Biden remains tucked away somewhere far from the masses, making periodic virtual appearances that basically discuss how poorly President Trump is leading the country. As if solitary basement appearances on Biden’s behalf are infinitely more inspirational.
However, he can’t hide forever, particularly after being called out for his future VP pick in a very public manner by the likes of P. Diddy and Ice Cube, along with the ultra-radical CNN commentator Van Jones.
In a rather bold letter signed by over 100 self-proclaimed black leaders, these rappers and leftist celebrities demanded that Biden select a black female for his running mate, and they got straight to the point from the opening line.
“As someone who has said throughout the campaign that VP Joe Biden needs to choose a Black woman VP, the urgency for that pick has gone from something that SHOULD happen to something that HAS to happen. It disgusts us that Black women are not just being vetted in this VP process but unfairly criticized and scrutinized.” [Source: The Blaze]
Ah. So now Biden “has” to pick a black VP running mate, preferably one who isn’t “unfairly criticized or scrutinized.”
Given the scrutiny the media has poured upon Melania Trump and Barron Trump, along with virtually anyone else even peripherally connected to Trump, the whining about “unfair” scrutiny is a bit rich, but liberals always excelled at serving as the pot calling the kettle black.
Interestingly, however, the letter takes an abrupt shift into the past, calling out the Democrats for their acquiescence in passing the very laws they now claim to oppose, or the laws that multimillionaire P. Diddy and his like claim keep the black community down.
“Have Democratic Party leaders, allies, or donors ever required Joe Biden to show remorse for the 1986 or 1988 Anti-Drug Abuse bills, which established mandatory minimum sentencing and subsequently crack-cocaine sentencing disparities, and by his own admission, led to mass incarceration? What about the 1994 Crime Bill? Let’s be clear about the kind of remorse and reckoning that matters in 2020 when the Black community is still suffering the consequences for these oppressive measures.” [Source: Atlanta Daily World]
Curiously, despite his own rather prominent run-ins with the law, including for violent crime, P. Diddy doesn’t seem to be suffering from “oppression” of any kind from his various palatial abodes all over the United States, but then again, Mr. Kaepernick has become richer from hating America than he ever did from playing an all-American sport adequately, at best.
P. Diddy’s self-aggrandizement aside (of course his signature was the first to appear in the list of 100+ names), looks like the Democrats have gotten themselves into a hot mess by immediately jumping on the BLM/anti-police bandwagon. This rash decision, which is undoubtedly based upon going wherever the ratings go has further complicated Biden’s campaign, which seems to a have a tenuous chance of legitimate victory, at best.
Not only does Biden have to somehow win the presidency by never making public appearances, including even at the major DNC Convention in Milwaukee, but now he is being effectively threatened by various hip-hop rappers and others that Obama considered appropriate public allies, and he is rapidly learning that various media personalities are not exactly interested in the art of compromise.
The unwillingness to compromise is frankly on par with the behavior observed from Portland to New York in recent weeks. No willingness to compromise, and the only willingness that keeps people coming back night after night is a combination of getting “free stuff” from looting stores and opposing “oppression” by shooting police officers. Nice logic.
And, speaking about nice logic, P. Diddy and the remainder of his followers made the threat to Biden and the DNC clear: You either pick a black female VP, or you lose the election.
“Failing to select a Black woman in 2020 means you will lose the election. We don’t want to choose between the lesser of two evils and we don’t want to vote the devil we know versus the devil we don’t because we are tired of voting for devils—period.” [Source: Atlanta Daily World]
Ok then. So, failing to choose a candidate based purely on skin color means that Biden will lose. Oh, and white men are clearly “devils,” as if that’s not a rather blanket racist statement in and of itself.
Looks like P. Diddy is still pissed about his “bruh” Biden saying “you ain’t black” if a black person dares to vote for President Trump instead, as if it is unconscionable that someone might prefer a life of industry over a life of welfare.
Since Biden’s VP pick is said to be “imminent,” it will be interesting to see what impact, if any, this letter has on Biden’s choice.
Unfortunately for Biden, Trump has no need to satisfy his “bruh” P. Diddy, as Trump, unlike the Democrats, calls for polices that benefit all Americans, not selected Americans.
Furthermore, demanding a VP purely based on skin color sounds rather openly prejudiced, but it seems that racism only works one way in America from the Democrats’ view.
Let’s see just how popular the Democrat view really is, come November 2020.
