Mark your calendars. September 29. Health Education Center (HEC) in Cleveland, Ohio.
The above information is the “where” and “when” of the imminent debate between President Trump and presumed Democratic candidate Joe Biden, according to the Commission on Presidential Debates (CDP). While the debate was originally set to be held at Notre Dame, the event shifted to a different venue given that the university preferred to no longer host an event in light of COVID-19.
Fortunately, the first debate found a new home right away in Ohio, which also happens to be a well-known Trump stronghold. Trump is already favorably positioned from this location alone. However, the most favorable elements of his position include a vastly more focused, highly capable mentality coupled with a thick backbone to offset Democrats’ childish attempts to obstruct his power, though it will be rather interesting to see which attacks, if any, Biden is capable of launching upon Trump.
Even the fake news media is aware of the fact that Trump would obliterate any Democrat or Socialist in a debate, and he’ll be especially capable of wiping up the floors when it comes to debating Biden.
Over the summer, The New York Times even ran a piece titled, “Biden Should Not Debate Trump Unless …” and began with an opening line expressing great concerns over the debate: “I worry about Joe Biden debating Donald Trump. He should do it only under two conditions. Otherwise, he’s giving Trump unfair advantages.”
“Unfair” likely means the exact same thing to Democrats that it does to democracy-repellant snowflakes, yet this opinion piece was hardly the only fake news circulating online that suggested Biden may not actually debate Trump.
As uncertain as the debate appeared to be from all the Democrats’ hemming and hawing, the two men are actually set to hold their first debate, which should be quite revealing in terms of each candidate’s respective competence.
Assuming Biden doesn’t flee at the last minute for his safe space in a basement of undetermined location, where he’d be undoubtedly protected by one inane excuse after another from the Democrats, this debate should certainly be illuminating for not only the United States, but the remainder of the planet.
On one hand, you have President Trump, who is perhaps the most patriotic president the United States has seen in decades. And, like a true leader, Trump doesn’t just say he’s patriotic, he shows he’s patriotic through all the actions he’s taken since assuming the presidency.
In sharp contrast to candidates who make every promise under the sun in order to accrue votes, only to rapidly abandon these promises afterwards, Trump began his presidency by signing executive orders and supporting legislation that exactly adheres to the promises he made on the campaign trail.
On the other hand, you have Joe Biden, who is best known as serving as Obama’s vice-president, which apparently gives him the mindset that one “ain’t black” unless they vote for him, as if having been Obama’s VP should be the most important characteristic in the world when deciding who should lead the free world in 2020.
Speaking of the free world, it seems the Democrats aren’t very happy with that ideal in general, given how hellbent their supporters been on destroying cities, setting buildings on fire, stealing and harming innocent people, and even going so far as to call for the dismantling of the U.S. Constitution and other foundational aspects of American society. Oh wait, dismantling the U.S. Constitution was actually the idea of a supposed Representative of the U.S.: Ms. Ilhan Omar.
All of these differences will be put on full display for the American public by September 29, and Biden has expressed an astonishing degree of false confidence when it comes to debating Trump.
“I can hardly wait. I can hardly wait to deal with what he refers to himself as a ‘stable genius,'” Biden told NBC affiliate WBRE at a campaign stop in Pennsylvania. “I can hardly wait to debate him.” [Source: NBC News]
Either an astonishing degree of false confidence, or a bunch of repetition to convince himself and halfway convince his followers. The “halfway” is well-warranted, given that over one-third of Americans do not think Biden can withstand a debate with Trump.
Only time will tell! In the meantime, prepare the popcorn.
