The sole remaining Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Missouri is expected to shut down later on this week which would bring an end to all legal abortion in the state. Planned Parenthood has failed to renew its license issued by the state’s health department for its last Missouri clinic located in St. Louis. If the license is not granted by May 31st, it will mark the first time any state has not had a functioning abortion clinic since the decision of Roe V. Wade in 1973.
“This is not a drill. This is not a warning. This is a real public health crisis,” Dr. Leana Wen, president and CEO of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said in a statement. She also took the opportunity to attack the Trump administration, whining that “This is the world that the Trump administration and anti-women’s health politicians across the country have been pushing for – a world where abortion care is illegal and inaccessible in this country.” Her comments just prove her ignorance. People are tired of seeing innocent lives being taken in the name of convenience and yes it should be considered murder and therefore illegal. Leana sounds like someone scared that they will lose their job, which is a very real possibility considering her employer is an organization responsible for the mass murder of defenseless humans.
Dr. Wen, the same woman who once claimed she was Trumps “nightmare”, is now taking loss after loss as the Trump administration fights off the evil that is Planned Parenthood. Wen tweeted, “If Planned Parenthood’s St. Louis health center cannot provide abortion care, this will be the first time since 1974 that safe, legal abortion care will be inaccessible to people in an entire state.”
The largest abortion provider in the nation said they were being investigated by state officials over “a large number of possible deficiencies,” at their St. Louis branch. Operation Rescue obtained a list of EMS calls placed by the Reproductive Health Services Planned Parenthood of St. Louis and found nine incidents of serious emergencies, most common being hemorrhaging.
“The Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in St. Louis is one of the most dangerous abortion facilities for women in the U.S. They have sent at least 70 women to the hospital suffering serious abortion complications in the past nine years or so,” Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, told LifeSiteNews.com in January. “There is a history of deception, concealment of information from the state legislature, and failed inspection reports. It is a disreputable abortion clinic that should be shut down in the interest of public safety.”
While the clinics closure appears to be a result of failure to comply with regulations, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed a bill Friday banning abortion beyond eight weeks of pregnancy without exceptions for rape or incest, making it one of the country’s most restrictive abortion laws, behind Alabama’s recent law passed.
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, in a Facebook video called it a “huge victory” toward making America abortion-free. “This is huge because if we can make just one state abortion-free and show women that abortion is never needed, is never necessary, for their life and certainly not for their family’s life, other states will follow suit,” Hawkins said. “We know lives will be saved.”
Planned Parenthood said they have filed a lawsuit to try and keep the abortion clinic open. Things, however, are looking dim for Planned Parenthood as America leans more and more toward becoming a majority of Pro-lifers one victory at a time.
